Monday 3/23 – D-Day
Attention Sound School students! FFA is hosting a fun afternoon of felt flag making in Room 716 (Lauren's room) on March 25, 2026. Make your own felt flags, enjoy some snacks, and test your knowledge with FFA trivia! This event will take place after school from 2:45 to 4:00 PM. We can’t wait to see you there!
All Sound School Students are welcome to submit designs for the new 2026 Sound School Waterfront Festival Shirt. What will you create? Entries due by April 9th, either dropped off in the PAC mailbox (main office) or emailed to soundschoolpac1@gmail.com
Rules:
All entries must include both AG and AQUA elements.

Seniors applying to Electric Boat must attend a mandatory workshop TODAY in the library during G period.
Juniors, spring college trips have been scheduled. If you would like to visit Quinnipiac University, Southern CT State University, University of New Haven, or Albertus Magnus College, please see Nilsa for a permission slip. The first trip will be to Quinnipiac University on Wednesday, March 25th .
We still need more students to run Shake it Up! Day activities. See Megan in Thomas 416 if you have an idea of a fun activity to run for students.

Juniors - TOMORROW you will participate in SAT School Day. You will need to bring a fully charged, school-issued device for the exam. On the day of the exam, please report directly to the Thomas Building.

FLAG FLYING AMERICANS!!!!!!: The Sound School Flag & Etiquette Committee will meet on Friday, March 13, 2026 during G Period in Pickett's room in Anderson 612. See Pickett prior to the period for a pass.

Sophomores – If you do well in English and are interested in learning more about potentially taking an AP English course next year, look on the Class of 2028 page on Google Classroom for more information on how to apply. Feel free to stop by Megan’s room – Thomas 416 – if you have any questions or would like a hard copy of the application packet. Application essays are due the day after April break.
Are you interested in taking a FREE college class at SCSU this summer? Or at Gateway, Southern, UNH, or Yale next fall? You must be in 10th or 11th grade now and have at least a B average, plus good attendance and independent academic behavior. Some college programs also require specific PSAT or SAT scores. Fall classes start in late August, but your first step is to complete the Initial Application ASAP! We are excited to announce that we will be participating in a composting competition against High School in the Community and New Haven Academy! It's a challenge to see which high school can compost the most waste. Keep using those compost bins in the cafeteria! Let’s show our commitment to sustainability and win this for Sound School! Every little bit counts, so get involved and start composting!
