Today our Afterschool Vet Tech program will be hosting a guest and former Sound School Graduate, Amanda. She works for an organization that raises Labrador puppies to become future guide dogs for individuals who are visually impaired. We would like to invite those interested to come watch the presentation in the Library from 2:30-4:00pm. We would also like to note that students may see these training dogs in the building. Please remember not to approach or distract them unless given permission, as they are actively learning important skills. Thank you, and have a great day!

The waterfront is open!  Who's ready to sail Sharpies? Interested in learning to sail in a non-competitive environment?   Or improve existing sailing skills?  Perhaps meet new friends while spending the afternoon on the water? Join the Sharpie Sailing club!  Sharpie sailing meets Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2:30-4:30pm.   Anyone interested should come to our first Sharpie Sailing meeting TODAY in Emerson 107 directly after school.  Please see Michele Fucci or Nick DeGiacomo with any questions. Seniors taking the African American, Black and Puerto Rican, Latino Studies course are starting this group and we are looking for a passionate group of 9th, 10th, and 11th graders to carry the group into the coming years.  We will be having our first meeting on Friday, May 1st in Emerson, 213. Friday 4/24 - E-Day

Juniors, the trip to visit Albertus Magnus College will take place on Friday, May 1st .  This is the last college tour of the season.   If you would like to attend, please see Nilsa for a permission slip.

This Tuesday, April 28th, our Afterschool Vet Tech program will be hosting a guest and former Sound School Graduate, Amanda.

Attention all juniors! The prom has been opened up to you for one week only!  If you’d like to attend prom, you can purchase a ticket from Megan in Thomas 416 by the end of the day on Monday, April 27th.  If you plan to bring a date, you’ll need to purchase a second ticket and obtain a permission slip from Megan.

Anyone interested should come to our first Sharpie Sailing meeting on Tuesday, April 28th in Emerson 107 directly after school.  Please see Michele Fucci or Nick DeGiacomo with any questions. Hope to see you there!

Get your wallets ready because Market Day is officially happening TODAY during all three lunch periods! Our talented Small Business Entrepreneurs have worked tirelessly to launch unique shops featuring exclusive products you won’t find anywhere else. Support your fellow entrepreneurs, grab some delicious treats or high-quality gear. Students will be accepting cash and electronic payments, such as CashApp.

This month at The Sound Library, we’re letting the books do the talking by celebrating the power of Poetry with a twist! Come check out our latest display featuring Spine Label Poetry. By carefully stacking books, we’ve created "found poems”. It’s amazing what happens when different voices and stories lean on one another to create something entirely new. Come get inspired, grab a book, and see the library from a whole new perspective.

Yearbook Ordering is DIFFERENT this year:

  • This applies to students in ALL grades.. an important reminder: if you want a yearbook this year… you actually have to order one by May 8th. That’s right—no magical pile of extra books, no “I’ll just grab one later,” no yearbook fairy dropping one into your backpack, no "oh look, it's May 10th maybe I should order a yearbook now" that is after May 8th and it will be too late to order!

  • Yearbooks must be ordered online by May 8th, and only students who order by May 8th will get one. Once they’re gone… they’re gone.. like your motivation after lunch... we know that YONDR pouches took your cameras away, so we saved the memories for you!

  • Don’t let those memories drift away like a boat without an anchor after May 8th.  The link to order is in the electronic version of announcements and on all of the Google Classroom "Class of..." pages.

If you want to avoid this, finish them this week on the "Senior Activities" Google Classroom Page.
