Thursday 2/5 – A-Day

Big news for all manga fans at The Sound School! The Sound Library has a new collab with the New Haven Free Public Library to bring more of the stories you love directly to our campus. Every couple of months, we will feature a new rotation of popular series from the Public Library graphic novel collection.  We are kicking things off with two legendary titles: One Piece and Slam Dunk. Students can borrow these titles right here in the Library in Foote using your regular school account.

The ROV club will be hosting a lock-in on Friday the 13th from 5:00 to 8:00pm to fund the group’s trip to Newfoundland, Canada. They’ll be selling tickets during G periods this week and next week, and tickets are 8 dollars. Come join us for pizza, video games, Lego building, movies, and more!

Good Morning Sound School Agriculturalists, The 4‑H Club is meeting this Thursday in Kim’s Room, 765 in the Foote Building, from 2:45pm to 3:30pm! We’ll be talking about some awesome upcoming events like UConn’s animal shows, competitions, and other fun activities you won’t want to miss. If you’re into animals, leadership, or just want to hang out and try something new, come join us!

FFA is inviting everyone to make their own pipe cleaner flowers! We will be meeting after school on Tuesday, February 10, from 2:30 to 4:00pm in Lauren's Room in Foote. Come join us for a fun, creative afternoon, and bring a friend!

Plant Tech 2 is hosting a Valentine’s Day Raffle for a chance to win a beautiful $75 large flower arrangement. Tickets are available for 2 for $5 or 4 for $10. You can purchase tickets at the Flower Shop / School Store in the Foote Building during G periods only. Don’t miss out on your chance to surprise someone special... or treat yourself with a gorgeous bouquet this Valentine’s Day!

Plant Tech 2 students are holding a Valentine’s Day Flower Sale. You can order red or pink roses in three sizes: a small half‑dozen for $25, a medium dozen for $50, or a large dozen and a half for $75. Custom orders are also available. To place an order, contact Bella B in the Plant Tech 2 class by February 10th. All orders must be submitted by February 10th to ensure they’re ready for Valentine’s Day.

Get ready to cheer on our incredible seniors as they take the 2026 Polar Plunge for a cause that goes far beyond the shoreline! ANY donation amount makes a difference. Every dollar you contribute goes toward the teacher plunge total, and the higher that total rises, the more teachers will take the icy dive.
We have raised $600 so far; let’s send the rest of our teachers into the freezing water.
